ELSA Human Rights Project comprises dedicated and enthusiastic members with a GENUINE interest in Human Rights. The goal of the Project's directors is to create a strong Human Rights brand within ELSA, to forge links  and build partnerships with other Human Rights groups (UK and/or international), to set up a volunteering programme for ELSA members interested in Human Rights. In addition, committee members intend to organise ELSA Human Rights events and activities e.g. film screenings, seminars, lectures,  study visits/field trips etc.

The English Law Students' Association strongly believes in Human Rights and as such encourages our members to become active in this field. You can do this by organising or supporting Human Rights events, volunteering for Human Rights agencies  or other NGOs, or simply spreading knowledge about Human Rights to other students and young people. ELSA is open to co-operation with other student / youth Human Rights organisations as we recognise that there is strength in unity. We are all working toward the same goals and with limited human (and financial) resources, it makes sense to work together.

If you have ambition, are able to take the initiative, have some ideas on how to develop Human Rights within ELSA and have some relevant experience, please send your CV and a letter of motivation explaining why you want to be involved in the ELSA Human Rights Project. Also, if possible please provide a brief outline of what you would do to bring Human Rights to the forefront of ELSA. Send your letter / CV to the Human Rights Project.
