European Prize: Best Business Law Student 2006

Freshfields (our sponsors) and the Financial Times run a competition to find the best business law student in Europe - might this be you?

 

If you

 

  • have a thorough knowledge of the rules on contracts, company law and business law in general of at least one European country as well as an understanding of EU law;
  • have achieved examination results that distinguish you as one of the top law students of your generation; and
  • have good written and oral skills in at least two European languages, including English
  •  

Then you really should consider submitting an online application. The deadline for applications is 10th November Selected applicants will then be invited for interviews at Freshfields' London office on Monday 27th November. Similar interviews will also take place in Amsterdam, Cologne, Madrid, Milan, Paris and Vienna.

 

The European Prize is open to any top quality student specialising in business law who is about to embark on their professional career. If you are currently studying/have studied in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain or the UK (countries where Freshfields has offices) and you would like more information about this competition please visit the Freshfields website for more information.

 

There are three great prizes on offer:

 

  • 1st prize: A scholarship of €25,000, or a cash prize of €12,500 plus six months' paid practical experience in one of Freshfields' European offices.
  • 2nd prize: A scholarship of €12,500, or a cash prize of €6,250 plus three months' paid practical experience in one of Freshfields' European offices.
  • 3rd prize: A cash prize of €2,500 plus three months' paid practical experience in one of Freshfields' European offices.
